Easy enough to check, 1x black pozzi screw either side of the pod, top cowl lifts straight off, shift lights have a small black 8 pin, plug 6 wires plugs into the top of the pod easy to see no ware else for it to go and only fits on way round.

Lol. Thanks lads. Are they supposed to light up as a check when you turn on the ignition? Sometimes get a weak flicker on one or the other. I'll take the top off and have a look at the connections.
Cheers

No mate, don't illuminate until set revs reached.

From memory I think they blink when you amend anything in the settings menu. Best way to test whether they work or not.

to my recall, you can set every individual light at a certain RPM.
perhaps all three of them are set to the max of 7000 rpm

My three change up lights come on at ignition. Year 2000 car. I don't have any adjustment in the menu. Have asked Paul smith and he can update the software for the later one for £125 I think he said.

My 2004 model (last of Mk.1's) also has the three shift lights come on momentarily, with the ignition.

My 2001 Mk1 shift lights only come on when you hit the right rpm's you've set it to. Nothing on ignition or any other time on mine. Check the cable between the shift lights and the main binnacle and hit the revs would be my advice. Hope it might help. smile
