Just curious here - how many of you follow WEC rather than just Le Mans?

Also, do you listen to RadioLeMans other than trackside? Do you follow their Midweek Motorsport broadcasts on Wednesday nights?

That is all smile

I normally go to the Silverstone WEC as well as Le Mans. I listen to Midweek Motorsport every week although I rarely tune in to other WEC rounds unless I happen to be near a TV that's showing it. Radio Le Mans is indispensable when track-side.

Follow all WEC and access allowing usually watch the other rounds (would physically go to more/all if funds allowed), as well as ELMS/TUSCC. Listen to MWM every week although usually the podcast on a Thursday PM to avoid Steve Wright!

Only listen to RLM at Le Mans on radio but they do a lot of the TV commentary for the other rounds smile

I listen to the WEC when it's on at a sensible time! I like to watch as well but if it's not on TV or an available web stream I sometimes just listen with live timing, I just find it easier to follow when I'm watching pictures.

I used to tune in for MWM but haven't bothered for a while. Combination of not really liking some parts (news in Spanish for one), variable sound levels and Tim Grey never being wrong about anything!

Thinking about it it's mainly Tim Grey, a few of us tried to help him when they launched the new website but he wasn't interested, another case of him never being wrong.

After the last BTCC race last year I posted a question on their Facebook page asking if was him that was listed in the credits. My post was deleted so I asked why and got no response.

Can't disagree about the levels - gets annoying!

The good news is that they've dropped News In Spanish now!

I've tried to listen to MWM a few times but I've found the sound quality is poor and show is just too baggy - needs a good tight edit otherwise it's just a bit tedious.

I don't mean to sound like I'm sponsored by them, but it has improved in recent months. Not the sound quality so much - the levels can still be off - but they have contributors who really add to the show now, where they maybe didn't before. Worth another go, I'd say.

As I'm driving to LM alone again this year I'll have all the preview podcasts on in the car - essential listening as part of the build up.

Is it pay per view now? I had radio le mans and eurosport on for Silverstone...then forgot Spa always takes place on a Saturday.

Pity if it goes.

I think that the content of MWM is normally good enough for me to forgive the erratic sound levels. I quite like that the show is slightly shambolic at times, it lends it a certain charm!

I don't miss News in Spanish as it always felt a bit forced and I'm glad Declan Brennan doesnt contribute as much as I find him hard to listen to more often than not. Marshall Pruett is always good value for money and I think you could create a good drinking game based on the number of times he used the phrase 'per se' in any given sentence!!

In the main I just follow Le mans and used to follow the ALMS.

I listen to radio le mans in le mans.

Now sometimes watch Tudor Sports car championship on Motors Tv but the Coverage by Fox and the cutting out of american advertising and the long silences between Motors TV broadcasters is really frustrating.

I used to listen to the podcasts, but tend not to do so now as I now work on a different client site.

Go to the WEC round at Silverstone, as it's the first one of the season and just down the road.

Listened to RLM for the Spa round and watched some of it on Motors TV smile

Will be listening to the RLM podcasts on the way down to LM and then plugged in to most of it over the week. smile

I really enjoy the fact that it is completley geeky and un-ashamed of it, but because of that you do need to listen often or you can easily get lost in the detail.
Listening to MWM with the england game on mute last night certainly made the game more enjoyable. I hope that Hindy and the gang wil come over to the Travel Destinations area on Porsche Curves next week.

I do however slightly agree about Tim Gray and the sound levels of the bits he adds, this weeks episode produce by Hindy (I guess) was alot better for levels without Tim, and without butting in with stupid questions.

I try to catch the other WEC races listening to RLM and watching Motors TV / Eurosport HD, but has anyone else noticed a lag between the two TV feeds sometimes? We ended up switching back to Motors TV last time because the commentary on RLM was noticeably mismatched to what was on screen. But those cars just look sooo good in HD - was hard to watch on low res Motors TV afterwards.. smile

I listen to MWM every week and I'm glad it's not just me who has an issue with the levels! I find it's not so bad when Nick Daman isn't contributing - I quite like what he has to say, but he frequently shouts and is way louder than everyone else. I'm usually working on my car resto when listening and have the sound cranked up on headphones (so I can hear over power tools etc), but after a while I get fed up with him shouting in my ear. Last week was blissful without him..

Anyway, they do a great job other than the sound management, and we'd be pretty stuffed without them - especially at Le Mans! Also we'll have the new 'post race tech' (well I'm guessing we will) after Le Mans, which will be a nice round up rather than the radio going quiet soon after the race, which always reminds me that back home and back to the grind is not far away. Anyway, enough of that.. In five days I'll be getting on the ferry!!! smilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmile
