Driving licence

Considering the plastic part of the driving licence, is there anything that links the front to the back? We have photocopies of both sides of the plastic licence, but other than seeing that the same groups are listed there doesn't seem to be any link, i.e. you could use the rear of someone else's licence to conceal restrictions applied to particular groups on the front of your licence.

My licence is up to issue number 10 now through having various categories added, photos updated, etc

Photocopies are worthless.

We have to maintain a record of due diligence when employees have hire cars for example, what other way is not worthless? I suppose a video of the licence as it is turned over hardly practical.
