Airfield driving day

Last night I booked a driving day at North Weald airfield for the middle of Feb..... I know I need to get an new set of tyres on the back of the car but has anyone else got any pointers on what else I need to make sure is in tip top condition?

Top Day.
Why would you want to put new tyres on before...You will lose a couple of mm during the day.
Unless its WET..
I would suggest checking all fluid levels, wheel nuts tight, suspension look over to make sure its solid, brake check, tyre pressures.
You will push the car to and over its grip limit whether its wet or dry...

That looks like the one as booked by my bro and his mate both who will be in their 111Rs on the day. The tyres on the back of my car came with it and are from around 1994
. I had a look at them this weekend and whilst there is adequate grip they are starting to crack in between the treads.... would be hacked off if within an hour of getting there one of the tyres gave up the ghost!!
