Hi Paul....

Top Day.

Why would you want to put new tyres on before...You will lose a couple of mm during the day. Unless its WET..

I would suggest checking all fluid levels, wheel nuts tight, suspension look over to make sure its solid, brake check, tyre pressures.

You will push the car to and over its grip limit whether its wet or dry...

Have you seen our write up on Colins site..?

That looks like the one as booked by my bro and his mate both who will be in their 111Rs on the day. The tyres on the back of my car came with it and are from around 1994. I had a look at them this weekend and whilst there is adequate grip they are starting to crack in between the treads.... would be hacked off if within an hour of getting there one of the tyres gave up the ghost!!

Talking of track/airfield days,is there anywhere up North that does a similar sort of thing as North Weald. It sounds to have a bias towards driver training that may suit a rooky like me. Failing that I may be tempted to come down sarf, depending on date, weather ect.

Hi Chris

I'm no sure but I think they may do something at Croft. I will e-mail a mate, his wife works there, and get some info.

Croft is one of my fave circuits .. maybe we could get an S series group together for a mass assault there?

Ive driven a whole host of TVRs around the circuit but never been in my own S .. I'd like to see how the old girl goes at croft, it should suit it really well

Looking good, we've got northern meet of three for Croft. Methinks Joos is the man to follow in the V8.
