Lightroom Preset packages
Discussion
A link to this popped up on my Facebook earlier, the first time i think i've ever taken notice of an ad in my feed:

Not sure how believable it is that someone would pay $447 for 75 presets but at $39.99 it's much more appealing.
Question is - is it worth paying for or are there similarly comprehensive/better options out there for less?

Lightroom presets are a bit of a con when there are soo many free ones. Even with the bought ones, you still have to work out which ones go best with your photos.

I found some presets that mimick quite a lot of B&W film (Ilford and Fuji) and I found some presets for Kodachrome as well! Those ones are really quite nice.
Can you post a link to those please? And if anyone has any other 'film' presents, that would be much appreciated, because... I'm trying hard to find a present to recreate the in-camera effect in the Ricoh GR called 'Positive Film'.
The Positive Film present gives every photo a very distinctive Kodachrome film look, which I love. Very sharp, colour pop, high contrast, bit of grain. or at least I think that's what they have done!
If anyone has any presets that mimic this look, I would be grateful.

I've never tried LR pre-sets, do they operate as a 'closed box' or can you see the steps that make up the pre-set?
Oddly, despite using lightroom for quite some time, I'm not sure! Some presets seem to alter the image without actually changing any of the sliders or settings that you would normally use, whereas a lot of settings instantly change when you click the preset in some of the others.
If anyone feels like sharing LR Presets, feel free

Here is my little collection for you to plunder.. all 176 of them!

Thanks for sharing your presets! I'd collected a few from the link previously shared but now i have more than i know what to do with! It'll take me a while to go through and categorise them in a way that works for me.Some presets seem to alter the image without actually changing any of the sliders or settings that you would normally use, whereas a lot of settings instantly change when you click the preset in some of the others.

Can you recreate the look with the sliders? If so it is possible to save it as a preset. And if anyone has any other 'film' presents, that would be much appreciated, because... I'm trying hard to find a present to recreate the in-camera effect in the Ricoh GR called 'Positive Film'.

Is Richoh GR one of the supported cameras, as you can use scene modes from some cameras in Lightroom.
