Heated wing mirror on the blink.

As my Griff resides in a garage I have not discovered this until now. I stayed at a B&B overnight and in the morning the heated mirror on the driver's side didn't work, it stayed wet. The other side works fine.
Anybody with any ideas as to a cure.
