Your dad's (or mum's) first car
Discussion
My first trips were in a Carrycot in the boot of an Austin A40
Like this one, but with a white rood rather than black

When that died, we moved on to a Ford Anglia, and then the first in a long line of Minis
Edit: That was my first car. My Dad's first car was an Armstrong Siddley Sapphire, which he bought for £5.

My father's first car was a sit up and beg Ford prefect but I have no memory of it.
The first car I recall was his blue Zephyr 4 (well, he had 4 kids)

He went on to have a number of cars - a pale yellow Victor FB, a brief 2 car foray with a Gazelle and Imp, one of which had to go and we got the Imp, a black Zephyr 6 (ex-Police with a recalcitrant reverse gear) then his beloved Cortina 1500GT Mk II, a Firenza 2000SL.

My dad's first car was a Hillman Hunter, which was by all accounts a complete rust bucket. Once this rusted through there was a bit of a gap while money was spent on a house, until he bought a brand new 1.1 Fiat Uno on an old A-plate in solid blue which is what I remember being transported around in during my formative years. This gave way to a 2.0 Cavalier GL company car in flame red on a G-plate, followed by another brand new 1.4 Tipo (carb'd no less) on a J-plate. Somehow it seemed fitting that my first car was a Fiat Bravo...and why I still have a desire to own a Tipo Sedicivalvole.
An M reg Hillman Hunter estate bought new a month or so after I was born. Had it until I was 10 or so by which time it was definitely a worthless banger and well on its way to the scrappies. The next owner had it for a year or so before it got scrapped.
My mums first car was also a Hillman but an Imp (although it may have been a Sunbeam Stiletto as I recall it was supposedly the sports version without the opening rear window) bought very cheaply when I was about 6 and only lasted a year or 2 before dying in a very impressive cloud of smoke

Dad's first car was a brand new hillman imp. Lilac in colour with the much desirable optional extras of a heater, wing mirrors and radial tyres.
Think that was the late 60s. We saw it in leeds when I was a kid (90s). I'd love to track it down and buy it.
Mum didn't driver until she retired. First car therefore a pensioner spec hyundai. Grim!
