Ice Warning Light Staying On
Discussion
So why is the ice warning light staying on? It's hot!!
I took the temper motor oUt and cleaned because it looked a bit sotty. I then put some WD40 on the thread and on the motor itself and replaced. When I started up the ice warning light stayed on and she now feels very lumpy and hesitant from low revs.
Any ideas?
Should I replace the stepper motor?

It's a coincidence. The ice sensor has gone open circuit. There is a small thermister in the sensor which corrodes.
There have been a few threads in the past; options are new sensor (£15iirc) or open the sensor and solder in a new thermistor (approx £0.99).
The sensor is in the front grille aperture in front of the radiator.
If you just want the light off you can short out the sensor's connector
