I've actually read the answer to this question somewhere before but can't find it again - can anyone explain why it's impractical / not possible to convert a 97 longtail F1 GTR to road legal specification? (If the answer is somewhere on this forum, apologies and please point me in the right direction.)

Ride height, sequential gearbox, lack of rear windows, etc.

Thanks - I think it was the gearbox that was the real impediment to a road conversion. To comment on one of the other points - there's a good few road-legal supercars lacking rear windows (Mercedes CLK-GTR, Porsche GT1, some of the wilder Pagani Zonda derivatives with roof scoops).
