...hello all, just wondered if I can ask for some advice.

I am planning a weekend away with my brother and would like to book up a couple of days on the track, ideally at a new circuits we haven't tried yet.

So far we have done
Brans, snetterton, Cadwell, Bedford, rockingham...think he's done Donnington as well

Any advice an some circuits to try, ideally tight and twisty so I can try and bridge the gap between my mx-5 and his CSL!

I love Cadwell but have done it a few times now, anything similar?

Thanks in advance

Blyton Park near Gainsborough in Lincolnshire is pretty twisty & technical like Cadwell, but flat as it is an ex-airfield, it also has the advantage of being pretty cheap and punches well above it's weight in fun per pound.

Croft is also pretty good & technical in places, and Northallerton or Darlington are pretty close by for a stop-over.

Isn't that a helpful contribution hehe

I agree that Blyton punches above its weight but even though they have a few different configurations I'm not sure I'd want to do two days in a row there. It's not a million miles from Mallory, which is good value too, maybe you could do those two?

Thanks for the advice so far.

Looking at dates we could do

Friday 22nd august - Anglesey

Saturday 23rd - croft

Sunday 24th - blyton park

Or sack it off and do a track day in Spa?

With the slight typo, I took the OPs post to be about 2 tracks so I was suggesting both in a weekend.

I haven't done Mallory myself, is it any good?

Bookatrack have a Saturday at Oulton and Sunday at Anglesey in October. Two great tracks and not too far apart to travel on the Saturday night.

I plan to do both and we are traveling from IOM so we try to arrange double headers.

Chaps, i think we have some winners...

Thursday 21st August Donnington Park (evening, Javelin)

Friday 22nd Anglesey (full day, trackdays)

Donnington is on the way up from St albans to Anglesey (sort of!).

Sounds like a good combination of tracks, if weather permits we will climb Snowdon on the Saturday...

Thanks for all your advice

You're going to get slaughtered at all of them, especially Donnington Park.

^^^^^ What he said, you have chosen 2 of the most power hungry tracks in the UK rather than your original idea.

thanks for the respone, i think that something got lost in translation somewhere along the line, i am not trying to actually find a track which would make my car competitive against a CSL as, save dropping them off a cliff, i'm pretty sure that doesn't exist. Would prefer twisty but always fancied Anglesey so would be a good destination and donnington is on the way so works well. Anyway, when i've had enough being slaugthered i can always pop in the CSL to do some slaughtering of my own...
