I was keeping an eye on the eBay auction to see what it went for, seems he has pulled it down after just over a day. It has been on and off the Classifieds like it's going out of style.

It looked like a well cared for example but then I believe the head gasket (or something like that) went on one bank and the previous owner cut their losses and sold it on cheap. The current owner bought it, did some engine work and put it back up for sale a few weeks later.

I believe it is also a cat D - stolen recovered iirc but could be wrong.

The last real owner who sold it would have more information if you could track them down. I think it was an ebay sale about 2 months ago from the real last owner.

I was in the car when the head gasket blew!I took it for a test drive last Sunday after a 3 hour drive to view it...we only got about 2 miles when there was steam coming out of the nearside wing/bonnet and the temperature guage was at 110 degrees. I pointed it out to the owner and he said " they all run hot these and the fans don't kick in till 105"!

We got back to the workshop and put it on the ramps on my request. To be fair its a nice car but he said he had just done the head gaskets and that he works on AMG engines and that these are a "doddle to work on"!

You do the maths?

Hi Steve
Have sent you mail including a link showing the current owner removing the engine.
You have it for a realistic price now, send it into a tvr garage , get it fixed , get a stamp in a book and start some history for the car.
If you don't, I will.
Good luck

You can get a full list of owners and info about colour changes etc by filling out a V888 form and sending it to DVLA, costs a fiver and takes about a month

Yes , sadly the head gasket blew again. I suspect it's got a faulty head
Or something but really haven't got the time to fix it with work commitments

So it about 7k cheaper to cover the cost of a full engine rebuild! If it even needs it's

Everyone who knows and have seen the car will agree that is really is
One of the best looking cerbs about and had an enormous amount of interest
Despite me pulling it from sale 3 times because I couldn't bare to part with it !

Hopefully the new owner and invest the effort it requires ! I've had loads of tvrs
And this one is really awesome looking

Good luck

Hi... I bought this car on the 5th June. Sadly on my way home (6 miles in) the same issue of water pissing up the near side of screen and a lot of steam out of the right hand exhaust happened. The guy who sold it to me (Dan) was very understanding and returned my money the same day. Happy to talk the new owner through what occurred when it failed on me. I did pull over and switch it off immediately. Now got a speed six which is a stunner. Good luck with this car.
