There is nothing stylish about a mobile rape shed.

Yeah I'm taking one down.

not sure about "style" but I know what you mean! hot shower, fridge, flushing toilet, etc. Beats a tent !

mine is currently plugged into the house to pre-chill the fridge and charge the battery !

We've been hiring the biggest we can find with only 4 sleeping so loads of room for many years and we also stay on Airtrack which has brilliant facilities to include a restaurant/bar/TV, loads of loos and mopped showers prior to getting in and having a nice warm shower.....at any time of the day smile

Pros:

If it rains we're warm
We can take loads of st down to include the kitchen sink/bikes etc.
Can share the drive, I do to the Channel Tunnel and them get bladdered
If it rains we're dry
Nice comfy beds
If it rains we're warm and dry
We are unlikely to get booked for speeding
Oh, did I mention we will be warm and dry regardless of the weather?

Cons:

It's slow
Not my F10 M5
It's slow
Fridge is quite small
Oh, and did I mention it's slow?

On balance, of course I look in envy whilst parked at the tunnel at those in nice machinery however once we're on our way it's great, once down on site we don't drive anyway and I'm far too old to slum it in a tent any more!

I can't see a time when I go back to a car & tent to be honest.

Stayed in motorhome 9 out of the last 10 years.

Drove there later in week and back 2007 in Alfa 159. (met the others in motorhome there)

Flew back 2010 & got train there later in week 2011

Travelling by car, train & plane much quicker & easier but cant beat the motorhome when we're there smile

Not taking the caravan, taking the tent, gazebo etc. However do want photos of the inside of your caravan and the exact model as the layout might be what we are looking for! Oh and in anyone else has a caravan with twin axle, bunks photos and model please!

Will grab some tomorrow. Feel free to drop by for a beer. We are in BSJ - look for the twin axle caravan, silver range rover with a black 5 series around somewhere....

This website may be of use also.
