GSF value discs & pads, any good?

Looking at a full set of docs and pads for a car. GSF have 25% off at the moment, I can get a full set for £94.
The equivalent in Brembo is £179.

It's not a performance car by any means, so is the GSF branded 'Vtech' stuff any good or utter rubbish?

Luck of the draw on what you're getting.

Some of the Motor Factors 'own brand' is excellent. Some of it is crap.
I can't comment on the discs but having had a clutch kit (may have been driveline/drivetech or something) that was replaced 3 times in a week with different ones before one of them actually worked without some incident.

Recently I swapped with lower arms and bushes on my BMW, the lower arms were perfect, bushes wouldn't fit over the lower arms, swapped them twice and same with the 2nd set. The 3rd set slipped on no problem. All from the same manufacturer.

Can't say I've ever had a problem with brake items though apart from lasting not quite as long as 'premium' discs and pads.

Have a look for some Mintex on eBay et al - that's generally good quality enough for a normal car.

Never used GSF ones but similar cheap Eicher brakes from ECP are very hit and miss in my experience. Fine on some cars and utterly diabolical on my Audi A6

I'm not a parts snob. I've just been through the exact same predicament, and on balance, an extra £80 over the life of the pads/discs isn't much. I'd go for the Pagid ones if you can.

No experience with GSF vtec here, however mtec brakes get my vote for value! Although I use Hawk pads, mtec's site is pairing up their discs with mintex pads - which should be just fine?

What car are the pads and discs for?

Utter horsest of a generalisation.

The worst brake discs I have ever used were a Brembo 'floating' disc set-up.
The production quality was dire and they were replaced three times in 4 months foc.

These were not cheap components.

Also worth noting - the cheaper Brembo discs and pads are just re-branded, and aren't actually made by them.
