Why can't paintwork stay like this?
Discussion
l have a full respray 2 years ago; and like you thought about the protective film. lf l was you l would save your money each year towards a front end respray, every 4-5 years or until it gets bad. These chip repair guys can work wonders nowadays
as the film looks poor and you can see it fitted. Also don't do track days as l have seen what it does to paint jobs, especially disused air fields, which are full of debris. l am sure someone else who is in favour of the film, pays your money and make your up choice . By the way nice lupos !!

Does fibre glass chip more easily then steel? Or is it just the nature of our beasts? - low front end etc
My old man had 'armour fend' applied to both his (pink
) Cerb and T350t; although it did protect the paint to an extent - it was still penatrable and TBH as it isn't invisible and creates a satin type finish - looks s

Just had the 4.6 resprayed, a million stone chips banished!

Nearly there.......................
All joking aside, why does fibreglass chip so easily?
Does anyone know the approximate cost of that plastic film you can have applied to the front end?
Was it financially viable to have it painted before selling ? do you mind me asking who prepped it and painted it ? Is it worth keeping ?seems a shame to sell you have done alot to it . Nearly there.......................

It's sitting there like a Wolf in sheeps clothing,,,,,,,,,,,just waiting!!
Paint, pffft.
Shocks, wheels, engines, cool.
Paint pffft.
Nah I was down the garage today, place was full of people boxes, busy working but caught a glance of the Tvr now and then,
Stunning cars when the paints looking good..
I have some paint from the re spray,
Decided to touch up, quite pleased.
It's when the chips show the white plastic it's so obvious it does annoy one somewhat.
Having touched up those obvious colour changes it's far less obvious.
Looking good Peter.
It's my plan to just blow it in every few years and stop worrying about it.

This 4.6 has only done about 12K miles iirc and is very quick, not that far behind my 5.5.
In fact on a TD last year it was on par with Andy's 4.0 SC chim.
Same as my 5.0 car on Monday at Cadwell - exactly on a par with Andy's SC. Shows how good your 4.6 is. Many of your friends have more than one TVR - why not you too?In fact on a TD last year it was on par with Andy's 4.0 SC chim.
