Is it jut us or does anyone else always leave sorting stuff out for Le Mans to the last minute? So far all we've done is book the campsite, this lot all still remains laugh

  • Ferry booking
  • General Entry Tickets
  • MOT for the car which hasn't been used for 2 years
  • New tyres
  • Stickers
Less than a week to go, love it! biggrin

That is a really relaxed attitude to Le Mans!!! Much respect, and good luck with getting there. If you do let me know and we'll buy you a pint! Had my service this week, stickers applied today....

Well good luck with that little list! I was expecting to read a post about last minute packing, Euros, tent, BBQ, power, etc but there's some fundamental items for you to get done in the next 3-4 days.... But the spirit of Le Mans is such that nothing is likely to be allowed to get in your way and you'll make it whatever the cost.

And tax and insure it. Also haven't registered it yet, can we go on the new keepers slip only?

Got tickets.

About to venture into the garage to sort out everything else.

I normally do this about 3 weeks before the race. ( Allow lots of time to replace broken bits of kit )

You guys have it easy , after months of sorting out my escort cosworth for le mans , after a bit of spirited driving against my mate in his Intergrale yesterday afternoon I ended up with no brakes ,a cracked windscreen and a subtle knocking noise from the top end , it wouldent be so bad if my corvette wasent having a rear end re build and my 930 turbo that has been in the body shop for the last two months was ready . but never mind I can always take the diablo smile oh no wait I cant because my brother thought it would be good to do some doughnuts and fk the clutch in that to :0 so looks like I will be taking my ford ranger but at least I can fill the back with beer and drown my sorrows , in hindsight there is probably some one else that is going to have a worse time at le mans with breakdowns and the what not , so on that note happy motoring you all smile xx

Im still waiting for a replacement clutch from the States! I think it should be here tomorrow, but I have to go to a family funeral so any notion of picking it up and working on the car is out!

The car might make it down there and back if I keep it smooth but I know its right on its limits frown

I really did not want to be in this position frown

Not far off my position lol . if I where you find a reputable garage get the clutch in as quick as poss and get yourself down there , you will regret limping a car down there and back . smile

Will be doing the work myself, I don't trust garages! I've had too many bad experiences!

Yes you can - I called the DVLA today and checked as I stupidly sent my v5 off to change my address a couple of weeks ago!
