What type of auto box does a 2002 Xkr have? ie is it tiptronic or equivalent?

They changed gearboxes in 2002 along with the engine. Both were torque converter full automatics however.

The 4.0 engine which was discontinued in 2002 used a Mercedes gearbox. The 4.2 engine which was introduced in 2002 came with the ZF 6HP26 gearbox.

I do have a TipTronic conversion for the 4Lt XKR gearbox if you are interested
