After 20 years I think my Chimaera washer pump may have gone. The washers' water reservoir is full and the small hose outlets don't appear to be blocked. Also I cannot hear the usual whirr from the pump. Could it be a fuse or should I just try to replace the pump? What part would I need to order?
Many thanks

You can get a replacement pump from Halfords, I think it's from a Mark IV Cortina..

Clips into the side of the washer bottle in the nose (on a Mark 1) anyway

I managed to buy the wrong pump but after a bit of cleaning the old one worked again, fortunately. Mine is a '94 Chimaera so the water reservoir is hard to get to, with its rear bolted to the bulkhead. For anyone else who has to do this job, the correct pump motor part number is 83BB-17K624-BA .
