So…I noticed some scratches in my paint protection film (Ventureshield I think) and so I Googled how to best treat them. Isopropanol was what I came away with to try.

Well, it has 'eaten' the film from what I can see as it is now far worse; it is very rough to the touch and not shiny at all anymore.

Is it repairable or do I whip the film off this section?

If I need to remove the film, how easy and how? It is the lower bonnet piece (I never went whole bonnet, just the bottom half and bumper).

Cheers for an advice.

Getting it redone. That's the best solution I reckon since it is only one piece.

IPA is always best diluted to a 4-1 ratio with water otherwise it can do more harm than good

Excuse me for being dense - but isn't it there to be damaged? to enable the paintwork to be saved?
