Whats the big deal? a friend of mine has got himself a set and now he can't shut up talking about how brilliant they are and so better than Teflon blah blah etc. Whats the big deal? are they worth it over the usual Tefal teflon stuff etc….

The ones I've seen aren't actually any dearer.

I've had mixed experiences of Teflon. I just don't think it lasts that long.

I tried a couple of pans.

I wouldn't bother again

We got one last month. It's a pretty decent, reasonably heavy-based non-stick pan. It cooks consistently evenly, and cleans up quickly. I'd even go as far as to say I'm not using as high a heat when compared to my other pans.

It's a thumbs up from me, but then my old pan had lost its non-stick and this was a "can't be any worse" replacement that has so far proven to be a good buy.

I bought one recently. It was super non stick until I used high induction heat and I've now all but killed the coating.

Not sure if that would've happened with Teflon.

I saw Mary Berry use one once. I suspect hers wasn't the JML one. Haven't seen anyone else bothering.
