Heat reflector under bonnet?
Discussion
I forgot just how hot the bonnet gets after a spirited drive, almost burnt my hands with them just hovering over the bonnet vent - and the bonnet itself was hot to the touch.
Has anyone added some heat shield to the under side of the actual bonnet, and if yes, what did you use?
Almost lost my passenger wiper blade in the pouring rain, too - the blade worked itself loose from the arm and was just flailing about on the windscreen! How I have missed the full fat TVR experience!

I replaced mine a couple of years ago.
Speak to this chap - He will sort out what you require.....

Coating the exhaust helps a lot Chris....bonnet still gets hot but much reduced
I am assuming that will cost hundreds - and I cannot spend so much for a while (after my £6.5k bill...)Perhaps that's something I could ask Dom about when I (eventually) have the 4.3 upgrade, while the engine's out?

Manifolds can only be coated when the engine is out as they need to be removed. Zircotec coating is £300-400 from memory.Perhaps that's something I could ask Dom about when I (eventually) have the 4.3 upgrade, while the engine's out?

Thanks for the links - I think I'll get some of that. Is it self-adhesive or do you have to glue it in place?
Needs to be glued in place and left to cure fully. I had mine done when I had it in for a service. Bonnet was removed and turned upside down. Glue applied, heat resistant fabric fitted and held in place overnight. The outer areas of the bonnet (inside ) were then repainted to tidy the job up.
Looked very much tidier when done.

Cheers - so I think it's best to wait until I get the engine upgraded (it's just had its service, too!)The outer areas of the bonnet (inside ) were then repainted to tidy the job up.
