Company Put Wrong Mileage on Receipt

hello, ive got a slight problem ! ive come to sell my car, and got all the car documents out, and on the recent service 6months ago (@ a Franchise) they have noted the wrong mileage down at the time my car was at roughly 69,000, but kwik fit has written 452,852.

could this affect the sale price of my car?, and will it be on the national mileage register?

I am not sure what to do next as i cannot remember the exact mileage at the time of the service but know it was roughly 69,000

If someone is stupid enough to beleive the car has been clocked that much, just dont sell them the car.

that's quite a discrepancy.

I wouldn't worry though - and I seriously doubt it'll end up on the NMR.

Nothing to be concerned about unless your car looks as thought it might have done over 400,000 miles.

thanks for the quick reply, i might just contact the garage and see if they can do anything about it. other than hope it doesn't cause to much problems

Did they write the phone number instead of the mileage?
Call the no. to check and at least you have the genuine reason.

Think I would be more concerned to find a Kwik Fit receipt than what it actually says on it

I assume the receipt is for something minor like tyres, or possibly brake pads.

In which case, just bin it.

Much as I like to see a nice history folder - sometimes people go a bit too far with the number of receipts they keep.

No person looks at mileage on a recipt for tires. Tehy look at their condition.
