No. But eBay is a good source. Some steel stockholders have an offcuts bin (generally more like a room)and many fabricators will have odds and sods. Best bet, ask around locally.

FROST (www.frost.co.uk) sell small sheets through the post. Even B & Q sell zinc plated stuff if you're completely stuck, but the prices are OTT.

Best local place is Metal Supermarket just over Northam Bridge in Southampton - behind the old Meridian studios. They have scrap bins you can raid in exchange for a contribution to their tea fund. Otherwise try any engineering place - plenty of them in Pompey around Copnor and Farlington.

How much are you after? I might have some in the garage that you can have. I'm not at home at the moment so can't check til late tonight, but will have a look later.

If not, metals4u.co.uk have always been good for me.

Cheers for the replies.

I've scrounged up enough to be going on with.

(I'm having a go at using electrolysis to clean up some rusty parts, and needed a steel electrode)
