Cherished no. plate query..

I'm a little bit confuzzld here. My original no. plate came with my car, so other than taking the plate off, putting it onto retention as and when I've sold my cars I've not had too much paperwork to deal with.
Bought another plate - off ebay - for another car I'm buying. On top of the cost of the plate, I paid the seller £80 assignment fee and the dvla £25 to have my name down as a nominee. Received the retention cert in the post this morning, speedily forwarded to me by the seller. I can see my name is now the nominee, the assignment fee has been paid, but the grantee is the original keeper of the plate. When I want to put this number on my vehicle; will this be as straight forward as enclosing the cert with my logbook/mot etc? Therefore putting the vehicle in my name, does this in effect make me the grantee of the plate and no further action is required?

The seller will remain the grantee until it's placed on a vehicle. Just the way DVLA do things. When transferred back off they you become the grantee
