Had a search but couldn't find a relevant topic. Not going to watch the race this year (which is the first for a good number of years) but would still like to view on TV if possible over the weekend.

Not got a Sky package so wondering what my options are? I can stream Radio Le Mans for voice but wondered if there is anywhere I can hook into for video coverage?

Interested to hear any suggestions smile

You can subscribe to Sky Sports temporarily for a modest fee. And Eurosport is usually free isn't it?

'Subscribe from £3.99' it says on the tin...I suspect it will be a little more, but they have the full race.

Like the old Screensport before it Eurosport has always been the main place here and even better more recently when they stopped interrupting the coverage with tennis and motorbike racing. But Le Mans has never been covered by the ordinary domestic TV channels.

I couldn't go to LM2012 (went to LM2013) and so I resorted to Eurosport (one month's subscription) plus Radio LM. The combination worked very well. The feed from both did crash occasionally but it was still acceptable. Not going to LM2014 so I will be using the same set up...roll on Saturday!

I've tried this kind of streaming site previously and always been disapointed by the video quality and frequent drop outs.

The Eurosport sign up is only £5.99 for a month (cancel on Sunday at 17:00), and quality last year was top notch - streamed for the entire race with only a couple of drop outs (in the middle of the night probably due to my ISP!).

Also remember if the commentary on any of the streams or on Eurosport is a bit pants, you can always stream Radio Le Mans...

EDITED TO ADD - probably should have read first post a bit more carefully... but hey ho... this is what I did the last time I watched the race from home, the streams were in French / German and the Eurosport commentary was a bit hit and miss, but RLM was a safe bet...

I did it via Eurosport Player last year....and am still paying for it.I really must cancel it....

Radio Le mans and the video are likley to be quite out of sync. When you're not actively watching thats quite useful - if you RLM getting hysterical about an incident you'eve got time to get to the TV to watch it .

If you're tyring to wacth them together it can be a bit annoying.

I'm told that the new freeview HD (only this version and only certain boxes) can display Motors TV which is now a streamed digital feed over your broadband providing you have 2Meg link or better. You need to double check the box supports this new streaming service. All seems a bit weird to me, a freeview "over the air" service needing a broadband link - one or the other surely Motors TV people life is confusing enough !?

Another vote for the Eurosport player. It's £5.99 on a 1 month rolling renewal... Simply unsubscribe after the race. I hook my PC up to my TV for better viewing.
Tried the use Radio Le Mans for commentary but, as said above, it's out of sync with video.

This.

You can check your TV or stb on Motors TV dot com

I picked up a Humax PVR which streams it, channel 240 on Freeview. Ifyou don't see 200 pluschannels thenretune. Of course you have to plug the device in to the internet or Wi Fi

Not convinced it'll be full coverage from a race point of view, seems to be more of a Nissan only stance on things, but I may be wide of the mark.

Anyway I have signed up for the 1month EuroSport player service and must say I'm impressed. Cheers gents smile

Motors tv only have the Porsche cup support race. Le Mans is separate from the rest of the wec.
