Is this what a quick detailer is for?

Excuse my ignorance but I hope (repairs permitting) to be taking my TVR to France at the end of this month.

It will be spotlessly clean before it goes but invariably will pick up flies and dust on the way down. I won't be able to wash the car when I'm there but I do have some Autoglym Rapid Detailer in my cleaning kit (which I use for claying).

Can I use the Rapid Detailer without washing the car to clean it up a bit at the front OR will it scratch the paintwork?

I'll admit I'm a numpty when it comes to cleaning cars. A two bucket wash, a polish and a wax is about my limit I'm afraid.
