Does anyone know where to get a set of honeycomb plates?

I can't find anyone who does this type.

Not these.

They used to do a much smaller honeycomb backing.

Yes fancyplates and you only want the rear to be translucent, there is a specific tvr option when ordering.

I have this specific TVR option from Fancyplates, but not sure why it's TVR specific!

The Chim and Griff (and maybe others) is lit from behind the numberplate therefore needs the number plate to let the light through it.

Your Tamora will take any standard number plate.

Ah, I see - never knew that, and I used to have a Chim!

I'm actually the other way!!!

I have a Chim that has a normal plate that is stopping the light getting through so I cant' drive it at night....

Your profile says a 97 450? I would have thought the "upgrades" would have got to the rear by then and you would have an externally illuminated rear number plate?

I live & learn 8-))

My Tam (I too had a 93 Chim) has the plate from the Chim and despite being illuminated from above, the lights are actually behind the plate (so it still works)!!

Mine is a '98 Chimaera and still has the old style rear, but I have the 'upgrades' on the front and interior smile

And before fitting the new plate to the rear, change the bulbs to led variants or line the recess with silver foil tape to make the backlit illumination brighter

Same here (but 97).

I prefer my flat rear number plate over later Chims but would have preferred the later rear lights. It's staying as it is though with the fiesta lights.

Just received my honeycomb plate today from plates for cars and I can confirm it is just as good quality as the fancy plates plate just nearly half the price.
