Noise etiquette whilst Camping
Discussion
To be honest there will always be someone d
head making more noise than you, that being said nobody goes to Le Mans for a good night sleep. I try to keep it down after about 1am just to be polite and get some kip, as you know you're gonna be up early anyway.
I've been going every year since 1998 and the camp sites are a shadow of what they once were, not that this is necessarily a bad thing!!

Just use your common sense and dont be a bellend or rude if anyone objects but youll be fine!
We certainly were not quiet last year, We were up till almost daybreak most nights either at our or someone elses camp, however if anyone objected and asked us to be quiet we would have happily obliged!
Le Mans for me is a chance for a few mates to go and let their hair down, I wouldnt go if it was lights out at midnight.

Hi Guys
Whats the deal with noise whilst camping at the circuit. Free for all or keep it down past midnight apart from Sat night?
Cheers

That's what I'd have expected/hoped for. Camping is never a recipe for a great nights sleep, wherever it is. Add the fact it's campsites pretty much full of male Brits on the piss & I'd have expected a good sleep to be last thing I'll get for 4 nights. We certainly were not quiet last year, We were up till almost daybreak most nights either at our or someone elses camp, however if anyone objected and asked us to be quiet we would have happily obliged!

Exactly. In the PH Site I wouldn't expect a Techno rave on a PA system all night, but some lads having a chat and a few drinks with a bit of subdued music till the small hours is perfectly acceptable in my book. As has been said if anyone ever asked us to keep it down we absolutely would but last time we were there all we got was sympathy for being near the French morons having a rave in parking Bleu!
Just because some may be in the PH site, you're an enclosure in the middle of Bleu Nord, so whatever's happening around you will affect you.
My first LM was 2009 and we had a Danish coach near us with techno playing all Fri night. Sat in the race I was royally f
ked, having had no sleep at all. Sunday I miees the end of the race as I was asleep in my seat in the ACO tribune!
Now I get some earplugs in, get some kip when I can, watch as much of the race as I can, and try to be as considerate as possible to neighbouring campers, but then I'm a grumpy but amiable old
