Offside headlamp does not function on dipped...changed bulb..works on full beam dipped no worky...drivers side is 100%

Any ideas ??????

Obvious thing is the wiring. Have you cleaned up the terminals or had a look for any damage to the wiring?

not yet...the wiring on this car is very very clan..its a bit of a mint 98...but under the bonnet I must go...wiring I can cope with...expensive control systems scare the shift outa me

I had something similar, it was the wiring connector plugged into the headlight. It had been shorting out; some of the plastic in the connector block was burned. A wiggle and the light worked.

I was going to replace the connector but I'm now scrapping the car. By the way, PM me if you end up needing a mk2 headlight.
