Have done quite a few track days in my 981 Cayman S ( on steel brakes ), it's a great track car, but the brakes in standard form are the weakest part of the car. Particularly at Donington, after ten hard laps the brakes were getting very noisy, and beginning to feel "rough" through the pedal. I'd say they are excellent for a standard road car, but not quite good enough for a track day regular. Has anybody played with Pagids, or maybe Endless please ?

Performance friction 08 are fantastic, ferodo ds3000 endurance are also very good pads but not sure if you can get them for that brake caliper.

If you are using road tyres though, ferodo DS2500 or brembo hp2000 are also great compromise pads.

10 laps at Donnington at a time is enough though take a break and do a good cool down lap.

Have been in touch with Performance Friction, they don't do a pad yet . Also should add that having come from 964RS and 968CS, the modern Porsche is an utter pain to change pads on, what was once a ten minute a wheel job is now a bit of a nightmare, having to remove the entire calliper and juggle brake pads, brake sensor wires and bolts all on a short length of not very flexible bundy !
