Easy as! Just tow it with a V8 Discovery and all your worries are over...

...and no, it was not broken at the time!

Can't imagine a V8 Disco towing a Cerb to give better MPG than driving the Cerb though! laugh

No it won't. I have a 4.4V8 L322 Range Rover which managed to return an average 14MPG when towing the Cerbera recently 800 miles!!! The Cerbera (on a long run and not a thrash) will top 20MPG.

My Cerbera must be broken. It almost matches my S-Type on a run. I have calculated (based on milage and fuel added since last fill up) 26mpg from mine.

You can't be driving it properly... Or not enough enclosed spaces on your journeys.. biggrinlaugh

Unless taking it for a day out somewhere I only really use it for thrashing about it because it's not actually a car I enjoy driving around normally (heresy, I know). Therefore 15-20mpg is more typical, or 200 miles to a tank tops but I always refill before that.

I keep a record of my fuel spends, so far I've averaged 15.71mpg, 18.99mpg high and a 12.67mpg low.

On my euro trips, mixture of driving but mostly 90mph, I get consistently 25-26mpg. About 4mpg more than before it was remapped smile

I do not keep a record of my fuel spend!

Cars, 4.4 V8, 4.5 V8, 4.7 V8, 5.0 V8 - no, keeping a record would make the pain feel more real.

You know over the 3 yrs of Cerb ownership not once did I think about MPg !

I knew it was running very rich once as the bigger stank & refused to start at the petrol stn , that was a Water Temp sender gone but apart from that, why bother ??

Re map and 30 mpg on long runs at sensible mway speeds on a serious note MPG and engine health can go hand in glove.
Only thing that breaks down more than a Cerb probably a Range Rover.

I think a few missed the subtle point. The Disco used heaps more fuel and so I no longer care about mpg in the cerb. Sayong that, I dont find the LR that bad when towing as it just tugs along as if nothing is hooked up. Top tow wagons!

Cost is not an issue. I'm an engineer. I like data.

Since Joo's remap I can do Lux to Folkestone (304 Miles) on an indicated 3/4 tank, every time.
