TVR Chimera 500 - Whats she worth?
Discussion
Yep i fully understand the subjectiveness of this question people...
However i woul like to respectfully ask your thoughts on the value of my TVR Chimaera.
Briefly
Its a Chimaera 500 in dark blue with cream interior
Its had a fully body off chassis restoration by Richard Thorpe 2 years ago (£4k)
Its just had a full re-spray by a good body shop
Power Steering
50,000 miles
Full history
Up rated disks
Aluminium dashboard
Up rated shocks
In summary its the 500 in the right colour combination with low mileage and the benefit of chassis restoration and of course paint.
Just interested in your thoughts on value please...
I collect it tommorrow from the body shop and so it will be going for sale soon
Thanks in advance

I think it probably is worth nearer £14-15k this time of year with the chassis and paint done. That's £8k worth of fettling of anybody's money, and mine must be worth more than £7k. Yes, I know all that work doesn't increase the value by hat it cost to do, but good ones make that sort of money. Won't be worth as much in the winter.

Sooo, by that token, £12K for a tidy genuine supa smooth driving 325BHP 4.6 with new hood, carpets, paint and MegaSquirt etc, etc?

Blatant advertising

Peter....You forgot to add "Never raced or rallied"...

Good luck with the sale BTW

Poor bloke askes a question and all he gets back is what's a Chimera, you know full well what he means.
Anyway £13-14 grand
Sorry, I just get hacked off with following forum rules while others break them. I'd have loved to have posted ads on the forums for the numerous cars I've sold over the years, but I've used the classifieds like I'm supposed to. Anyway £13-14 grand

Missed this earlier. I get your point Stuart. It's just a touch of testing the water really.
Most people who are seriously looking will be cruising the classifieds more so then the forum, (that's reserved for when they break down
