Can you work this out, central locking help

Ford fiesta 57 plate, 3dr.

from the drivers side, if i press the handle in to lock the doors, ALL doors lock, passenger and driver side.

If I sit in the passenger side and press the lock in, ONLY the passenger side locks, it has no affect on the driver side.

I'm pretty sure it used to lock both sides. Can you help?

My 51 Focus only locks the passenger door from the passenger door. Sounds normal to me!
