Of course I'm talking about getting the warranty work done on the tub surface corrosion.

Only some small discolouration on mine so wondering if anyone's had it done, where you have to go (only main dealers or can Sinclaires do it etc?), what they do, how long it takes etc.

i think it is main dealer only.

Last time i spoke to wilsons in romford (october) the whole thing was going really slowly due to lotus dragging out the supply of cleaner/bonding materials to the dealers.

Yep Williams in Bristol did mine when the car was with them for the geo following my recent shunt.

Mine were not too bad apparently so they were chemically treated and some nice new fabric mats put down. Some cars have had tro have the whole area taken out and replaced.

Its not a recall job but the dealers should do it if you take the car there or ask them to do it at the same time as a service.

I think what they do is treat and seal the existing corrosion then sandwich a new shiny floor panel on top. The panel has some big flat top 'screws' that hold a felt liner in place and the standard mats go on that. So it is a simple job to lift the mats and felt out and clean and dry the floor every now and again.

Looks pretty neat, had mine done at Nick Whale Sportscars, I'm sure it is a main dealer only job - but its free, so who cares?!
