We all know the famous dangerous Pukes Peak race but really will many actually be able to see it live? No.

How about a PH campaign/push to see if its possible or another UK challenging mountain would be doable for totally unlimited race classes?

Selecting Snowdon as the start could commence the far side of the Porthmadog toll bridge run through the town to Tremadog hard left and follow on into Betws Y coed and up to Capel Curig before the ascent to the Snowdon peak.

For anyone who lives in that area (and I grew up there) its an amazing route to take stunning countryside and very challenging roads. For those who have visited you might not have been on this specific bit of Tarmac but please do even if your only planning on doing it at a cruise speed its great.

Seeing prototypes in an unlimited class hurtling through this route which is guess time wise would be similar to pikes peak would be an amazing event to watch.

Sure there are plenty of other great difficult drives in the UK but to me this is top draw.

Very good.

How about Mytholmroyd, near Hebden Bridge up Cragg Vale Road to the top of Blackstone Edge? This is the longest continuous ascent in England and has been included in the Tour de France route through Yorkshire as a particularly gruelling feature of the race.

An interesting idea and it would be a great thing for UK motorsport to have a proper hill climb that isn't 40 seconds from start to finish. That said, the UK geography just doesn't have anything that can hold a candle to Pikes Peak, that is a climb of massive proportions.

For sure but as a Motorsport loving nation I'd imagine the idea in some form or another has legs. Just imagine the number of petrol heads who could actually travel to this event and back in a day or stop over at the countless b&b a or campsites for the event?

Or the b4391 from Llangynnog to Bala an assent and decent again amazingly stunning countryside with so much spectator space all the way.

They would have to have seriously good suspension and massive brakes as its mega fast to 1st gear corners

Again for anyone looking for a lovely cruise r an early morning blast try it - I've driven it countless times ravine one side sheep crossing the road the next hairpins undulating off camber jumps plus its narrow.

Actually tag this as a precursor to the original proposed route.

Last time I went up Snowdon, I don't think a car could have survived to the top. Mind you I did it via the Crib Gog route.
