Euro Tour bits for next time

Given the number of "issues" I'm sure there'll be a long list of spares being carried next time!
Having read about Simon's water problems (for him not the car), this one is for him...
Simon, get yourself some of these. I got a couple for using on the bike and they're excellent. I also use them in the car - soft and small enough so can fit beside seat, absolutely no leaks and all you need is a squeeze/suck (!!!!) to get water out. They also do an insulated version but those are not dishwasher proof, which is important for me because of using strong flavoured energy drinks on the bike

Yeah funny that - Same problem here. For shows fine - for driving no. Bit too slippy for my liking too I really love my wooden Nardi wheel, but sweaty hands made for some really interesting moments on the hairpins.

I wouldn't mind but every tour I have been tempted to remove it for that very reason; however the original Personal wheel felt a shade too small. I have just received the later type wheel as fitted to Stuart's (Mohitos) car.

Got my wheel for a bargain it would appear then. Makes a nice change.
I'd recommend using a Camelbak hung on the back of the seat. 3L of fluid capacity and insulated so 1/3 full of ice and a 50/50 mix of juice and water will likely stay cold all day in the car. The 50/50 mix is good as it adds some nutrients back into the body - water isn't enough for me as my riding mates can atest to.
I'll be making sure I load up the sat-nav for next time. Didn't prioritise it this year and that was a mistake. Ian, it might be worth stressing this point to new commers. Indeed, I'll probably convert my spare 7-inch tablet to be a sat-nav for next year.
I found some nice 'holes' in the back of the car behind each seat that look the right size to take a 600ml water bottle too.
As for mechanical spares. Some tools, gaffer tape, threadlock, cleaning wipes, spare fuses + relays.
I think I'll not do any jobs / improvements to the car in the month leading up to the tour.

It's brilliant! Just had a bit of a blat and it feels and looks great. Sorry not around to get your WT back to you today, will be in Harpenden this week.

On the subject of steering wheels, even though like me mine is very old & battererd, it works brilliantly. Even on opposite lock
