Destiny PS4 (Alpha)

Did anyone get the Alpha codes last night for Destiny, after waiting for the 6Gb download i got to admit i'm really enjoying.it.

Really does remind me of borderlands, just with amazing graphics and great gameplay.

I was expecting it to be Halo meets Borderlands and missing the point of either game (not that I rate Halo very high).

Am I right?

As much as i love halo it doesn't really remind me of it, don't get me wrong im still loving it

Anyone tried the co-op mode?

Played it with 2 randoms and eventually we all quit as no matter what we tried we could not take down the spider tank thing (and the Captain) was tough enough with all three of us.

No matter what weapon we tried the tank just shrugged it off and nailed us. The whole thing just seemed to be designed to empty your ammo.

It seems the balance between playability and toughness is a bit off at present.

I had the exact same problem civic, really frustrating cause I kept running out of ammo, It took about an hour with 3 of us an eventuly did it. I'm levelled capped at 8 now tried it again this morning and it was easy, again with 3 people and better weapons

Yeh i did that spider bit.. Got to about 2 pixels of health remaining then it disconnected ??! Bah.. The difficulty I think needs tweaking..or more ammo..

Missed this. Didn't sign up for the alpha code. Got the battlefield beta. It's battlefield with cops and robbers. It's not done enough to convince me to buy it.

Well... Destiny in alpha form is better than BF4 in its current form!

Properly enjoying the Alpha release. Only just started but really enjoying free roam and sniping some of the bigger enemies.

I was initially worried it'd be a halo clone but glad to say its epic in its own rights
