Naim UnitiQute 2 + Rega RS3 Loudspeakers

I tested this setup at my local hi-fi dealership today and would have purchased there and then but for a lack of stock. I got to try out the more expensive Rega RS5s but my ears couldn't pickup any discernible difference, and also the B&W 683 v2 but I wasn't a fan of the sound these speakers produced.

Total spend for the above is just under £2k (£1,195 for the Naim and £778 for the Regas).

I'm wet behind the ears when it comes to hi-fi gear - could the money be better spent elsewhere?

There are many hi end manufacturers out there, so if you can find a decent hifi shop, give them your budget and see what they come up with. You can then arrange a demo, but make sure you take some of your own music you are familiar with.

It's all very personal at the end of the day and only you can decide if you like what you here.

Personally I have a full naim set up with some dynaudio focus floor standees and it is fantastic.

But, it all depends on what you are after etc.

I opted for Neat Iotas with my Unitiqute, and I have to say it's an excellent combination. However the Iotas are a very small speaker and so have limited bass output, so they may not suit everyone.
