Brake Bleeding Tips

finally managed to fit the Goodridge braided hoses last night and bleed the system through, took it for a spin last thing and was happy with the improvement, its a bit wet to give it a proper test this morning so i'll wait for some better weather to give it a fuller testing!
pedal feels rock solid now and needs the slightest pressure to apply the brakes, seems a lot less spongy.

Hope you don’t mind a few questions, but I’m interested in this mod myself.
Did you buy a ready made up kit for the Griff specifically or did you sort the connectors and lengths to suit what you had. If it was a kit where did you get it from and how much was it. I presume you did all four wheels.

hi Simon,
the kit came directly from Automec's web-site and is made specificaly for the Griffith although they make them for all Tivs, you get 4 braided hoses and new banjo bolts with crush washers for the rear.£40+vat
What you dont get are smaller rubber gromets for the front top ball joint (which are sized for the bigger diameter originals) and these have to be fitted so as the hoses arent subject to erosion corrosion.
...plus I deeded some new washers for the chassis connections
apart from that the quality is realy superb and they come with a lifetime guarantee.
this kit doesn't have DOT or T.U.V approval but they do make an approved version with paperwork etc for the euro trash lot.
They also make brake line & fuel kits which are the same quality and come with pre-formed ends etc.
took a few pics this morning and cant be arsed to take the wheels off again until later so you can have a look if you go here,
