Nissan Sunny B110

Been looking at some of Nissan's past glories in racing and have stumbled upon the B110 Sunny. Does anyone know what a good one of these goes for and how many are in the UK? I'm not looking for a FIA racing variant obviously but would be interested in buying one (budget permitting!) with a good body shell and engine and potentially making a clubsport version of it in the spirit of the race prepared car.

I had a B110. They were called Datsun 1200s in the UK.
As far as I was aware mine was the only roadworthy estate in the country at the time! An original UK car and unrestored too.
The engines are tough as old boots and zippy old things. Mechanicals generally very simple. Electrics are lucas and parts availability is generally good.
Tiny cars by modern standards and fun to drive but you don't come across very many for sale in the UK.

Love that! If you don't mind me asking how much did you sell it for and when? I am definitely interested but need more information before I even begin to seriously think about one of these... Less than £2k about a year ago with a good chunk of MOT. The above photos were kind to it. It needed a fair amount of bodywork restoration but the engine and gearbox were in good shape. The genuine period Hayashi wheels and fender mounted wing mirrors were worth a fair bit.
I have done a lot of work to these cars - tell me what you want to know and I'll try my best to answer your questions.
