Afternoon chaps,

Can someone just confirm for me that you leave the Tiger seal tidying up until the day after fitting.
I've redone the OS headlight and smoothed off the seal but the edges are all over the place.
If I remember correctly you just walk away at this stage and tidy up the edges in the morning by running a thumb nail through the sealant to cut a good edge then peal/rub off the stuff over the bodywork and lense cover.

It's OK guys, I left it a couple of hours and it' had gone off enough for me to start tidying up the edges.
I just wish I'd waxed the paintwork again after cleaning off the old sealant yesterday. The sealant is proving a bugger to clean off the paint.

Scotchbrite, or even better is sandpaper.

80 grit should sort it.

You've spent too much time with Billy No Brakes.

Stanley?

Have you heard the one about the very expensive carbon accessory and the brake servo yet?

Hi Ian, I know its a bit late now, but the best way is to carefully mask around the light with fine line masking tape, then apply the sealant (mine had a terroson product not tiga seal), just before it goes of completely remove the tape - voila, you have a nice neat edge all there, no need to clean up afterwards. Regards, Pete

Its never too late for top tips chaps.

In the end I smoothed the Tiger Seal with plenty of soapy water and just had to tidy the edges by scraping off the excess with my finger nail then cutting polish.

It looks great now but it took hours to get right.

Johno, yes I did hear how our friend Stanley managed to screw into the brake master cylinder on his T350 while just fitting CF pedal covers. What a wazzock
