Z4 3.0 or Boxster S?

I'm currently looking to get myself a new toy having sold my Chimaera last year.
I'm looking for a convertible, with 6 or more cylinders and a bit more practicality than my Chim.
I'm fully aware the grunt won't be quite the same but two cars are taking my fancy at the moment. (see title)
I've driven both but can't make up my mind......

What would you do......?
My budget is £7k
Which cars do you think I've overlooked?

Had both.
Late facelift 03 Boxster S is better.
Drive them, and make your own mind up.
Everyone with a z4 will pick that, and the Boxster owners will pick those.
Z4 is a good car, but the Boxster is nicer to drive fast.
