Any toothypeg docs here? For a few years now, I've had gum recession affecting the two centre lower jaw teeth. My dentist has mentioned it a few times at check ups but never seemed too concerned. In the past few weeks, the recession has accelerated & in the last week, my gums have become inflamed around those teeth & ache constantly. The rest of my gums feel throbby as if I've eaten pepper. so I'm thinking I may have some kind of infection but I also have lost a lot of gum material too.
I have always maintained a strict brushing, flossing regime & can trace this problem back to a scale & polish about two years ago when my gums were nicked repeatedly by the hygienist.
I'm fairly sure this is serious & I'll be in the phone in the morning, but wouldn't mind an idea of what I'm facing.
