Replaced my n/s exterior mirror glass at a cost of £70.11 (part only). Problem, Delamination caused by moisture ingress.
Would like to share with all.

1. I spend about an hour working out how to remove the old glass (didn't want to damage the housing) and once sussed, I reckon I could do it within three minutes.
Don't get charged silly money to have it done!!

2. Having pulled apart the old glass I found that the mastic (it appears to be akin to pur bond)was only providing a seal around 70% of the glass.

I used a high pressure water hose to wash my my car prior to this happening and believe that that was the cause.

When washing car, wash mirrors with sponge and rinse with low pressure water.

The more pennies we can save on the little things, the more pounds we have for the big things..
