Now I know when the fuel tank reads empty!!!

Well I'm back from a very enjoyable Le Mans trip.

Glad to say the car made it without issue......almost! When asked by my co-driver whether I wanted to stop for fuel or have lunch first the answer was 'FUEL'. However (and I blame him fully) he couldn't find the petrol station he remembered so we ended up stopping for lunch.

......3 miles later......rumble, rumble, rumble and we had to pull over. So it reads just above the red when the tank is empty!!

However, thanks to a Mike and Mitch in Boxster and MX5 who pulled over. Mike gave me a lift to the nearest petrol station and back and we were off again.

Fantastic, chilled weekend...apart from the footy!!

Few jobs to do now that I'm back. Including cleaning the car!!

I havent even taken delivery of my Chim yet, but already know from threads like this that I wont venture far without a full petrol can in the boot!

I used to carry a spare 20 litres in the boot of the 400SE, then I knew I could do Cherbourg --> Le Mans on a single trip without the need to find a petrol station. Only ussue was the space the jerry can took up :/

...and yes it was an amazing trip...again. Great weather, great company (apart from my mate who clearly thinks about his stomach first!!!) and even a few tummels thrown in!!!!

Whoops!!

Yes, still really tired. Very late nights and early mornings and not a lot of sleep in between due to the incredibly noisy frogs!! Yes, I said frogs!! Oh! But not that kind! We were camping by a lake and there were lots of green things with springy legs!
