Gear change has been a bit notchy, so I try to bleed clutch and find the old problem. Tried the blowtorch and WD 40 trick but now there is no grip even with plumbers grips. Any ideas?

You may be right, but I'm sure looking at the spare parts online the nipple bit is the seriously rounded smaller nut. Maybe I'll give that a go.

Yep mines the same as farmyardpants photo.

I think you'll be better off buying some new end fittings a change them out

So it looks like yellow bit should unscrew from orange bit but can the orange bit be unscrewed from the blue bit?

Could then get it in the vice and get "serious" or just replace both parts?

Yea that may work, I'll give it a go tomorrow, I don't really want to change the whole pipe if I can help it.

That's one of these, and getting to the other end looks a right PITA! Probably easier with starter out though

I'll let you know, thanks for all the advice.

I'd buy the whole lot.... It will probably save you a lot of hassle providing you ve got easy access to the bell housing

If you've got a couple of axle stands, it's not too hard to access from underneath and the difference in materials meant that mine wasn't too tough to undo.

(May I also recommend that you pump at least 1.5 liters of Clutch fluid in whilst bleeding)thumbup

I found the last time I bled my clutch that the 1/4 drive to bit holder was a perfect fit to loosen it.
