Fault code readers
Discussion
I've got a check engine light on my MR2, so the time has come to buy a fault code reader.
I've seen a lot of recommendations for the old Autel products, but they seem to have been replaced by the AL319/419/519 range - does anybody have experience of these? Or can you recommend an alternative?
I notice some offer live data, what would this be used for and is it overkill for home use?

I opted for a Bluetooth dongle which talks to my phone, both because it was cheaper and because it offers unlimited functionality if you can be bothered to find the right software. I think it was <£5.
I've used both the dongle type and the handheld type at work and much prefer the handheld type, due to them being less diddly to use and more robust. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
