I'll mainly let the photos do the talking but suffice to say, this car is outstanding - the colour combination particularly stands out and it's in very good condition.
Performance wise, even after a near-600hp M6, the performance feels violent! Also, if you've ever driven an SLS you'll know what I mean by this but, it's one of those cars where you can really 'feel' the low centre of gravity; the steering sharpness and flat handling are tremendous

Simply stunning.......now I am just interested on far you will take the tuning.
Be good to meet up at some point too at the next GTG or Dyno day (MSL)

I actually think I'll be leaving this relatively standard...and therefore probably in your C63's wake! The performance feels savage as it is, which I'm surprised at given the performance and power delivery that i got used to with the M6.
Yes, lets catch up - I'll bring it along to one of the GTG's

Stunning...that is coming from someone with a DB9...!
Hope you have a garage in which to park it! Paintwork looks perfect

Palmball thats proper nice, looks nicer than your last one (IMHO) - what happened with the M6 in the end? Was it difficult to offload? The new M3 is coming this week aswell no?
Lets hear more about the deal and the thought process!!!
Yes, I love the colour combo much more than the last one - it's almost exactly like how I'd spec a new SLS.Lets hear more about the deal and the thought process!!!
The M6 hasn't gone yet and next week it's going to a trader who's going to SoR it for me - it'll be a combination of the best-spec'd and cheapest M6 for sale in the UK.
I had no real desire to change the M6, but I've been keeping my eye on SLS prices and they haven't really moved much. Yet supply is drying up and cars are definitely selling. I really rated my first one so came to the decision (very recently....I don't take long once I've made my mind up) that I could keep the M6 for another year and lose another £15k. Or take the hit now, buy an SLS and lose maybe half that, or much less. I'd been looking at this particular car for nearly a year so I went to view it, saw that it was as outstanding in real life as the pictures indicated and bought it.
The other half's M3 is at the dealer waiting for us to collect it on Saturday to replace her M135i - ironically, we chose the M3 instead of the M4 so it wasn't too similar to the M6, which is now irrelevant. I'm kind of glad we did though, as I think I now prefer the looks of the M3.

Indeed the M3 has a certain wild arch agression that the M4 doesn't have - the M4 almost looks more polished. The M6 hasn't gone yet and next week it's going to a trader who's going to SoR it for me - it'll be a combination of the best-spec'd and cheapest M6 for sale in the UK.

Look forward to the write up.....!
Congrats again! I was hankering after one that had a matte paint job but now realise black is best except when it rains!
I'd want to get the gearbox upgrade too but have to find time. Does anyone know booking lead times? Probably thinking September but might do earlier if they only take a few hours then can do a two day trip

Right then, car has been into MB Derby on its last day of manufacturers warranty and blow me down, I think I've found a competent MB dealer. Let's not speak too soon, but they did everything I asked, and first time.
It's had the latest ECU and TCU software (not GT spec though) and the car is transformed, especially the gearbox. In fact, it's such a transformation and now so good that it's smoother at low urban speeds than the M6 (if still not quite as snap sharp in manual). I actually don't think the box itself is smoother, it just feels that way because the M6 has brake energy regeneration which gives incremental engine braking...there's no such efficiency functions in the SLS! They've also fixed a couple of rattles, updated the nav to 2014 and are replacing the door struts which are a bit creaky.
Charlie - interior is staying relatively standard but I might get the leather replaced on the drivers seat as it's got a bit of wear (almost unavoidable from getting in and out given the size of the bolsters), the steering wheel recovered and contrast stitched in tan to match the rest of the interior and it needs it's knob upgrading to the latest design (gearknob that is
). It's debatable whether it now needs the GT TCU upgrade, give the success of the latest (free!) software update....but I'll take any excuse to drive it to Affalterbach
vpr - I wouldn't worry, just use it....I doubt you bought it for an investment after all! I noticed when trying to buy one that cars this year definitely have more miles on than they typically did last year, with some mileages in the high 20's low 30's. I know that's obvious but it indicates people do use these cars.
Andy - the bar in interior is utter over indulgence - it's even on the backs and lower sides of the seats....you can't see those sections if the seats! The full carbon interior pack does get you carbon kick plates though, which are nice. I enquired about the cost of fitting them on my last one, and just for two (fairly small) kick plates it was over £3k!!
Zedstar, wrong forum but we picked the missus car up yesterday
I was very lucky to get it on launch day (for some reason, ours was the only one that our dealer decided to hand over yesterday) so there can't be many on the road at the moment. It drives superbly but one word cones to mind whenever I look at this car.....stance!!!
