Hi all, I have just replaced the 17" 'tuning fork' alloys on my 2008 CLS 320CDI with the 19" AMG type III as recommended to me from a previous thread.

I checked the handbook yesterday and discovered that it doesn't give the tyre pressures in the book but to look on the inside of the filler cap.
I'm travelling out of the country at the moment but cant imagine its going to give me the pressures for wheel / tyre sizes that diidnt come with the car.

Can someone please advise me for new sizes which are;-
Front - 255-35-19
Rear - 285-30-19

Thanks,
Tony.

Tyre pressures are in the filler flap and makes no difference what tyre size.

For my S600L

17" alloys...2.0bar.front..2.2bar.back

19" alloys...2.6bar.front..2.8bar.back.

When 19"s are fitted at the factory a new sticker is added to the petrol flap, as in my car.

What Tobinen says makes perfect sense but now I'm confused.

I have a CLS63 with 19" alloys. 36 psi at front, 38 psi at back. Not sure why CLS 320 with those wheels should be any different.

Thanks all for the advise.
I did a search in tinternet and found a lot of variations but going on averages, 36 front 38 rear light seems the consensus and 38F 40R for loaded.

I'm heading down to Spain in it with 3 other adults when I get home and think I'll see how 36/38 feels to start with.

Cheers,
Tony.

Are you selling the 17s by any chance?

Sorry but no.
I put winters on them so they will be going back on in Decenber.
The car gets a lot of use in Germany in the winter months.

I've seen the same on eBay for very low prices so you should be good to find some at a good price.

Good luck.

Worth a shot!

I'm looking for 17s so I can ditch the 19s for a while and get them refurbished.
