Is anyone looking for a pair of these ?

Ive been looking for a while and Ive found a European stockist who has Front indicator/ sidelight units (new) for a Pug505 instock.

Ive also found a chap in the UK who has a 505 who is breaking and have emailed inquiring if he has a good pair of lamp / lens units

I just sold one new one and have none left - so I'm interested in getting a pair of new ones - just in case.

right, my source is looking to try and get some more pairs in stock. Unfortunately the one local to me is no longer available after someone bought the donor car frown

So ... I can defiantly get one extra pair .. price is 60 euros for the pair (lens and complete rear) if anyone is interested. Im going to be placing the order next week (that includes postage to the UK) .. Basically the cost of 2 pairs of units and the postage split 50:50

here is a picture of one of them to confirm the are the units im ordering

New units by Valeo may still be available from motor factors.

It would certainly be worth a try.

Hallo Jason,

I have been looking for those for ages on the continent. But if your picture is from the actual item these are the WRONG ones. These are for a type 1 Peugeot 505 ( IIRC) and you NEED the ones for the Type 2. Type I are readily available but type 2 is a different story. I sourced some but now he has only got one side left.
I will ask again which side he has.
Just to make sure you get the correct ones
The correct partnumer are: Valeo 082163 and 082164

Regards
hans.

My 2nd hand ones from a few years ago if it is of any help to see what they look like. From a Peugeiutnaut specialist (2nd hand spares).

Edit. They cleaned up nice and were for a front end smash repair. Old ones were well nadgered.

I actually have a second hand one of these in my garage for the drivers side. It has a small star stone chip/crack just in the section where the two lenses meet, but the light wouldn't shine through. Otherwise seems perfect and comes with two sets of new bulb holders with the push connectors. If it gets a fellow Wedger out of trouble it's yours for a few beer tokens and the cost of postage. If there is more than one taker, it has to be the first to send me a pm as I only have one. It should be the right one as it looks like the one in the later picture with the long plastic prong on the back with a metal spring type of clip in the middle. I'll see if I can put up a picture later as I'm on the move at the moment.

Hi Hans,

what is the difference between the two types? In case we see them come up on ebay (apart from the part numbers).

I thought that, looked all wrong but lay them up against the broken bits and they are. The other thing was the new nose, thought they were out of alignment, wonky, but they all look like that.

Well I just spotted one on the flea and snapped it up.

There are alternative part numbers:

630187 PEUGEOT Genuine
082164 VALEO Sub
82164 VALEO

and

082163 VALEO Sub Indicator
630186 PEUGEOT Genuine Indicator
82163 VALEO Sub Indicator
55259043 NOR

I also had mine off the other ween and could compare it against a stock item in my barn (which is the Mk1 505 type). They are indeed different the lenses being a different oblique angle, and a rounded corner is different...

the holes could be fettled to make the other type fit at a pinch...

Round peg in s square hole!

Or you could make a nitrile rubber gasket so that water doesn't get in there...

Sticking in isn't a problem Zig because they are siliconed in with clear sealant.

You can see my handiwork at the fest (I stuck the old ones back in after a good clean, and on one side, sticking the lens back onto the back).
