I was taking my mother shopping and as I was parking up my mother goes 'HAVE YOU SEEN THAT'.
There was an old guy slowing walking across Tesco's car park approaching a battered old car.
He was complete with dark glasses and WHITE stick.
He then slowly gets in the car and drives off.!!!
Just before he got into the car he bent down.
My mother goes, 'do you think he's checking to see if its car!'
My mother is 81 and sharp as a knife with a rather dry sense of humour .
I was unable to get the reg due to where I had parked.
The area to avoid is Tesco's Dereham Norfolk.
You could probably include most of Norfolk due to the amount of elderly bad drivers.

Youve been reading the Daily Mail too much, is the stick whiter when in capitals? wink

Normally I'd say it must have been a wind up of the 'Off Their Rockers' tv show variety, however it's Dereham so it might well be real!

'Twas probably that chap from last nights 'The Trouble with Mobility Scooters'. He had a white stick and had a 'test' on a MS only to be told he wasn't very good at it due to his tunnel-vision, thus reverting to his old banger.

Haha!

Sort of reminds me of a time about 20 years ago.

A mate of mine had an original Mini. He bought a steering column lowering kit (which basically brings the original comedy column down from it's ridiculously high position) and a tiny, Mountney steering wheel.

Now, you couldn't really see his new steering wheel from outside the car.

For a while, he had the original massive steering wheel floating around in the footwell. For a laugh, he'd be driving along a dual carriageway with his drivers window down, and when a car came alongside, he'd grab the original steering wheel, hold it up and wave it around outside the open window, with a panicked look on his face and screaming 'waaahhhhhhhh!'

The looks on the faces of the people in the other car. Priceless biggrinbiggrin
